What's happening in the City? Besides the Farmer's Market there is a new Winter Park Craft Market on Saturday mornings. The Craft Market is open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is located in Shady Park on West New England Avenue. For more information you can call 407-623-3275. Also coming up there will be an antique online page. You can view antiques being offered by local people and buy if you wish.
Really cool is Dining on the Avenue to be held in March, get your table now. This is the 4th. year for this EVENT. Gather your friends and rent a table on the Avenue. Each table seats eight and comes with the linen and chairs. You supply the food. You can read more about that by going to our Links and Events page.
A great place to visit on the Avenue is Olive This, Relish That. They have a large selection of wines, great dressings and other specialities.
World Publishing, located in the Village, publishes several Lifestyle magazines. I like Saveur, food and wine, my wife likes Garden Design and my daughter Spa magazine.
For great stationary visit the Paper Shop on North Park Avenue. The Paper Shop has been on the Avenue for 25 years. By the way all of these businesses support our City.
If you haven't made a donation to the Winter Park Live Oak Fund do it now because we have lost 8,000 trees, but worse is the fact that our Laurel Oaks are nearing the end of their lifestyle. If you want to maintain our canopied city streets then support this tremendous effort to replant with Live Oaks. The first planting will be the entire length of Temple Drive from Horation to Palmer with 62 Live Oak Trees. SUPPORT THIS EFFORT! No area of the City will be neglected....if the funds are there.
Everyday is becoming a busy day on Park Avenue. Please continue to support our Shops and Businesses on the Avenue and elsewhere in the City of Winter Park.
A special thanks to the City Parks Division for a job well done.
City elections-know the issues. This City makes it very easy to know what is going on, so it is your fault if you are not KEEPING UP.
Please make an effort to support those businesses that support the City and City causes.
